On a cold night in Canton, NY, a group of St. Lawrence hockey players gathered at the Hoot Owl, the best bar in town. Inspired by good drink and great tunes, they decided to form a band. Nik and the Nice Guys was born.
Today we salute Danny Fay, owner of the Hoot Owl, and long-time friend of Nik and the Nice Guys. He supported the band on that fateful night in the early 70's and has done so ever since. Danny, we appreciate the warm welcome you gave us when we returned to the Hoot Owl this year and can't wait to come back to visit again.
